Terms of Service

The service

rephrase.io rewrites text you provide using AI, in the tone you select. Usage is measured in credits: one credit per 1,000 characters (or part thereof) of submitted text, so a typical email costs one credit. The free plan includes 30 credits per calendar month; the Pro plan ($15/month) includes 1,500 credits per calendar month. Comparing all tones costs four credits per 1,000 characters. Credits reset on the first of each month; contact us if you legitimately need more.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use the service.

Acceptable use

Don't use the service to produce unlawful, harassing, or deceptive content, to infringe anyone's rights, or to attempt to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service. We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.

Your content

You own the text you submit and the rephrased output. You grant us only the limited rights needed to operate the service — processing your text through our AI provider and storing your history for you.

AI output can be imperfect. Review rephrased text before you rely on it; you are responsible for what you send, publish, or submit.

Billing

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the paid period. Statutory refund rights are unaffected.

Disclaimer & liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
